Why did you choose to study at Writtle University College?
Whilst completing Level 1 & 2, I was working in HR at Britvic Soft Drinks. I was then made redundant in 2014 and so I decided to set up my own Interior Design business and study for the Level 3 Certificate. Writtle is very local to me and it was a fantastic college to attend.
What does Writtle University College mean to you?
I think the environment is very good and there are strong resources available to you.
What did you particularly enjoy about your course?
I found the Level 3 course quite demanding, but it was really good to hear how other students approached the various assignments. It was good to see their presentations at the end because, although we were all given the same brief, the product was always very different which was great.
My Current Job
My company is called fi @ interiors and I advise clients on their interiors. My projects have ranged from three hour consultations, 2D & 3D design drawings, to full project management for bathroom refits, kitchen refits and loft conversions.
I have been working at fi @ interiors for nearly two years now and have a good client base. I have got a lot of my new work from referrals, which is reassuring. My aim is to build up my portfolio and work on new projects. I have now introduced e-design into my services offered so that I can reach further afield.
