Why did you choose to study at Writtle University College?
Having studied at Writtle for my BSc (Hons) Landscape and Garden Design, I knew the College well and the level of deliverance was going to be of a high standard. Furthermore, after being the Academic Sabbatical Officer for a year, it allowed me to build a strong relationship with the College and staff.

What does Writtle University College mean to you?
Having spent five years at Writtle in a variety of different roles, from student to staff member, Writtle really helped to develop me both professionally and socially, for which I will always be thankful.

What did you particularly enjoy about your course?
There are a number of different elements that I enjoyed about the course, but being at postgraduate level meant that we were responsible for our own learning, which was enhanced by the fact that the assignments were working alongside real-time projects and companies who are well respected within the industry. The lecturers delivering the programme are also extremely knowledgeable and experienced, meaning that we received the best professional learning.

My Current Job
I am currently the owner of a Landscape and Design Company called ‘Stepping Stones’. We take pride in the fact that we provide biodiversity advice and management plans. Completing the course at Writtle has enabled me to gather the in-depth knowledge and skills that I need and to feel confident about delivering a high quality service.

Future Plans
I plan to continue to develop my business to allow it to grow and become a well-respected and recognised company, with the possibility of completing a PHD sometime in the future.
