Why did you choose to study at Writtle University College?
Without completing my studies at Writtle I could not have dreamt of being where I am today.

What does Writtle University College mean to you?
I am very grateful for the theoretical and practical skills I learnt whilst studying at the College; these skills allow me to work with professional confidence within the equine industry.

My Career Path
After graduating from Writtle College, I worked at a small competition yard in Colchester, as a therapist and rider. It was during this time I was contacted by a yard owner from Dubai and offered a chance to work in UAE (United Arab Emirates). I was offered this chance through my presence on social media sites such as YouTube (EddiesGun91 and NEddiesGun) and Instagram (EddiesGun91).

My Current Job
In December 2014 I decided to move to Dubai and see where it could take me. My horses flew over to join me in March 2015 once I had settled in.

When I first moved I had very few clients and the first month was very difficult. I attended jumping competitions held throughout UAE in an attempt to get my name out there and meet potential clients. It was then that I was asked to look at one of the jumping horses on the Qatar International jumping team. After I saw the horse, the rider gave positive reviews about how the horse felt after my work; before I knew it I was the equine therapist for the entire Qatar team.

From then, the Qatar team recommended me to other riders, including members of the Royal Family in Dubai and the UAE jumping teams. I now have my work visa under the name of one of the members of the Royal family and work full-time as an Equine Sports Therapist. I've worked with some of the top horses and riders the sport of show jumping has to offer, not only in the UAE but from around the world. Several of my clients and their horses have competed at the Equestrian Olympic Games and the Nations Cup.
