Writtle University College Bursary (HEBSS)

In addition to government-funded support, the University College also provides its own bursaries for UK students from low income backgrounds who meet the high standards for admission onto our courses.

  • New undergraduate students on household incomes under £25,000 and in receipt of the full state maintenance loan will receive a bursary of £500 in every year of their course.

Students eligible for the Writtle University College Bursary will receive 50% of the award in February 2022 and the remaining 50% in May 2022, paid directly into the student's bank account.

EU nationals and international students are not eligible for this bursary.

Please note that changes in your household income may affect your ongoing eligibility to receive HEBSS payments.

No application required as bursaries will be automatically awarded, if eligibility criteria is met.
