Geoff Hamilton New Gardeners' Foundation

The Geoff Hamilton New Gardeners' Foundation has for many years supported horticultural students studying at Writtle University College by offering bursaries to students. Whilst the conditions of the bursaries are wide ranging, they relate purely to the needs of the student(s) themselves. The Trustees of the Geoff Hamilton New Gardeners Foundation have generously made £6000 available to be used for several bursaries to support students who are studying for a degree level qualification in Horticulture or a level 2 or level 3 RHS qualification at Writtle University College in 2020-2021.

Geoff's family and Writtle University College are keen to offer this fantastic opportunity for students who wish to increase their practical knowledge and experience of horticulture. To apply for a bursary please complete the application form which can be found by following the link at the bottom of this page. You will be asked to write a little about yourself and your horticultural aspirations; the Trustees are the judges and are looking for enthusiasm, motivation and dedication to the world of horticulture. Previous recipients have used their bursaries to support their studies through funding additional training such as chainsaw courses or to cover costs incurred whilst studying.
