Working with course teams to identify enhancements in the ways WUC work with their wider business and industry networks in terms of CPD, consultancy and contract research.
After gaining his PhD in economics from the University of Essex, Rob worked for four years with PricewaterhouseCoopers, based in the City of London. His time there included work with their Strategic Risk Services group whom helped senior executives identify, understand, assess and manage the business risks they faced across their whole enterprise. His roles within this Group included direct consulting work on a wide range of client engagements, applying economic theory in solving strategic risk problems, constructing economic models in relation to the services on offer and developing academic partnerships.
Rob joined Writtle University College in 2018. In his previous academic role he was responsible for delivering and managing courses in economics and business management at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and of the management of the relationships with partner institutions. This involved running induction programmes for staff and students and managing the assessment and moderation processes.Macroeconomics, monetary economics, valuation and sport.
At Anglia Ruskin University: Senior Lecturer in Economics, Head of the MBA Chelmsford and link tutor for Trinidad and Tobago, Botswana, Singapore and Malaysia. Responsible for delivering and managing courses in economics and business management at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Management of the relationship with partner institutions.
Ph.D in Economics: A Study of the British Labour Market 1900 - 1920. The Economics Department at the University of Essex is recognised as being one of the leading economics departments in the country.
M.A. Economics: Distinction marks achieved in both dissertation and exams. I was awarded a scholarship from the European Social Fund to study for the M.A.
B.A. Economics: First class honours achieved.

beTRUSTed was PwC's trusted third party public key infrastructure offering. It was publicly launched in April 2000. I was responsible for identifying opportunities for beTRUSTed by highlighting current market requirements for their services and providing input into continually developing their strategy going forward in a rapidly changing business environment. I also provided a weekly communication to everyone in beTRUSTed globally on the current market environment, competitor activities and developments in the e-security market. I also worked on establishing strategic partnerships from an initial review of potential partners through to the signing of strategic alliance contracts. I wrote the weekly PwC Ciphertext, which reviewed developments in the online security environment.
