Rehabilitation and Performance - (15 credits)

This module takes the student through the process of rehabilitation, both pre and post injury. This may include the rehabilitation of injuries acquired during performance or therapeutic intervention to manage chronic injuries or disease. It examines the processes of injury and repair in the body and enables the student to link tissue repair over time to the rehabilitation process and return to performance. It emphasizes the importance of remedial exercise to prevent re-injury. A variety of rehabilitation aids are taught and used throughout the module, including but not limited to polework, training aids, water treadmill and sports-taping.
