Equine Biotechnology explores the development of current tools and technologies available for use within equine reproduction, genomics and a variety of other subject areas. This module will expose students to the most up-to-date advancements in equine science research and technology and give them the opportunity to see how these techniques are now used in practice. This allows students to understand how underpinning, scientific principles can be applied to achieve ‘real-world’ outcomes within the equine industry. Students are also tasked with evaluating the potential use of these technologies and tools within future research, to further enhance knowledge and industry-practice.
