This module builds on knowledge gained in the first year in Equine Anatomy & Physiology, Equine Health Management and Veterinary Microbiology & Laboratory Skills. It includes analysis of the causes, prevention, diagnostic and control of infectious and non-infectious diseases of the horse. This module aims to provide students with a broad and in-depth knowledge of equine microbiological and parasitic infection and diseases, including pathogenicity and associated immune response, therapies and treatments.
