Writtle College has sent warmest congratulations to Ben Maher on his triumph in the show jumping with Team GB.

Ben, who was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in the indoor riding arena at the College in April 2012, pursued a tough training schedule in the run up to the 2012 Games and put up a strong performance on his horse Triple X 111 securing a Gold Medal.

Students and staff who were treated to a spectacular private show jumping demonstration by Ben following the conferment of his Honorary Doctorate Degree are all thrilled that he has excelled during the Olympics and are eager to welcome him back to the College to congratulate him on his fantastic achievement.

Anyone inspired by Ben’s success and wishing to study the popular sports, equine and animal science programmes at Writtle can still apply for a limited number of 2012 places on the College’s full time and part time degree programmes.
