On Thursday 7 April, the President of the Students’ Union and the Principal of Writtle College invited students, staff, and members of local faith communities to the College for the official launch of the Multi Faith Room.
In essence, the Multi Faith Room provides a welcoming space for students and staff for quiet contemplation and similar activities.
Donations from various sources have been received by the College to support essential preparations for the room including donations from the Students’ Union and a College Governor. Window blinds, sofas and rugs are just some of the items that have been purchased to create a room welcoming to all.
The College has a diverse student and staff community representing both those who have particular beliefs and allegiances as well as those of no faith.
The launch of the Multi Faith Room was held at Writtle College’s Main Campus on World Health Day.
