On Sunday 10 April first year Higher Education students from Equine and Animal courses will be running a charity fundraising event from 10am to 4pm at Cow Watering Campus.
Lucinda McAlpine - international dressage rider and natural horsemanship trainer – will be headlining at the Charity event once again this year.
The day promises to provide a fun, family day out with lots of demonstrations, local trade stands, a raffle, and kid’s activities. Other demonstrations on the day will cover a wide range of equestrian and animal disciplines, such as BHS Trec, Horseball, carriage driving, Paso Finos, equine spa, dog agility, show jumping, and anatomy in action.
The Horse Welf-Air Day charity event is sponsored by Marriage’s Feeds, Inter Equine, and Malom Accountancy and Payroll Ltd.
Pennie Wallace, Senior Equine Lecturer said: “Last year's event raised £600 for charity and this year the students and staff involved hope to raise even more.
This event is especially organised by the students as part of their event management module assessment and has proved to be a big success for the two years that the students have hosted the event, the is also the bonus that all proceeds are donated to charity.”
All proceeds of the event will be donated to the BHS Welfare & Essex Air Ambulance.
The event will be held at the Animal Care and Horse Unit at Cow Watering Lane campus. Tickets are £3 for under 12’s and concessions, £6 for Adults, or a family ticket (two adults, two children) can be purchased for £15.
