James Hitchmough and his co-workers at the Department of Landscape, University of Sheffield, have been engaged in the creation of naturalistic herbaceous vegetation for use in urban parks and greenspace for many years. James has worked in consultation with urban and garden designers including the development of extensive North American prairie plantings at Heveningham Hall and Woodperry. James has co-authoured many research papers, articles and conferences on this subject including a book: Dunnett, N. and Hitchmough, J.D. Tickets for the talk will be on sale on the door that evening and will be first come, first served. The talk will start at 7.30 in the Northumberland Lecture Theatre on Writtle College campus.
