The course will be mainly theory-based, complemented with the use of video and pictures, and some practical sessions where applicable - College horses will be used for any practical sessions. This course will not require people to bring their own horses in.

Subjects covered include: social behaviour and natural lifestyle of the horse, recognising body language, learnt behaviour problems versus genuine pain / tension, learning theory, evaluation of popular alternative training techniques, handling problems, ridden problems and stereotypical behaviours.

The course will start at the end-February and will run every Thursday evening 6-9pm for 10 weeks. All who complete the course will be presented with a College certificate of completion.

The equine behaviour course is designed for average 'horse-owners', and not beginners.

The course will start Thursday 3rd March.

Cost of the course is £200.
