Held on Friday 30 April as an exciting and eventful start to the impending weekend, the Animal Management team at Writtle College opened up the Animal Unit for visitors.

Animal Management is a popular course among Further Education students and the opening of the unit encouraged visitors to come and see why. The programme for the day included a dog agility and obedience competition, dressage to music, a discover dog’s session, and finally a livestock parade.

For refreshment a food and cake stall was on hand. A bring and buy stall and games including tug of war and racing were on-going to keep visitors further entertained, and hourly tours of the unit introduced visitors to the animals and reptiles housed on campus.

The event ran from 11am until 3pm at the Cow Watering Lane Campus.
