Writtle University College has announced the winner of 2021's annual winter holiday card competition. 2021 saw many amazing entries, with students showing impressive creativity.
After careful consideration, the senior leadership group selected Zöe's outstanding drawing of WUC's main building in the snow.
Zöe's artwork will be featured within WUC's e-card for 2021 and sent to external contacts with WUC's best wishes for the season. Zöe will also receive a gift voucher.
Zöe said: "I was very surprised but very happy to win the competition this year! I love drawing old buildings and landscapes and was inspired by Writtle's main building. The picture was created using a range of mediums: pencil, paint and drawing pen. The original image was summery with clear blue sky so, in order to make a more festive version, I used a basic paint program on my computer to draw in the snow and gradually change the colour of the sky."
The winning image will be showcased on WUC's social media channels on Christmas Day 2021. Runners-up will be showcased in the week leading up to December 25th.
