Writtle Univeristy College's 2021-22 netball team has remained undefeated for the first half of the season.

This week, the team faced King's College for a second time, at their London home ground. The game started well for both sides. The teams matched each other goal-for-goal ending the quarter 8-8.

The second quarter was just as tight, with a very strong defensive team put up by King's College, but Writtle manage to pull away with a 3 point lead by half-time.

The girls regrouped at half-time and, after a positive team talk with the coach, went into the second half stronger and hungrier for the win.

The Writtle team attacked hard and defended even harder, which saw them pull away spectacularly in the 3rd and 4th quarter, finishing with a 38-17 win!

Captain Abi Heard said: "I am so proud of the girls and what we have achieved as a team, staying undefeated through the first half of the season," with Holly Wareham adding "It's been amazing start, I'm so proud of the girls, bring on 2022 - I can't wait!"

The team has worked incredibly hard in training over the past couple of months! Coach Amy Grimsey said: "It's an absolute joy working with these girls and seeing their growth as a team and individually week-on-week! They all listen to feedback and take training seriously, implementing the training into their game play, which is getting better with every match! I'm so excited to see what the second half of the season brings!"
