On Friday 15th October, Horticultural Society was delighted to host a talk by Sally Cunningham.
The writer, horticultural consultant, organic gardener and lecturer discussed Unusual Vegetables, and took part in a Q&A with members of the audience.
Horticulture student Kerstin said: "It was really interesting to listen to Sally's wealth of knowledge. I took away, yet again, how important it is to have passionate people preserve horticultural knowledge for our future."
Sally Cunningham's specialist interests include wildlife, organic gardening, unusual and exotic vegetables, herbs, utilitarian plants, beneficial insects and ecology. She has a long association with Garden Organic and is associated with the Sowing New Seeds project, a review of the wider benefits of growing exotic crop.
