Writtle University College's Horticultural Society looks forward to welcoming Sally Cunningham to campus on Friday 15th October.

The writer, horticultural consultant, organic gardener and lecturer will be delivering a talk on Unusual Vegetables, with an emphasis on multicultural species.

Students' Union President Vince Travers said: "We're delighted to welcome Sally Cunningham and would like to thank her for donating her time to Writtle University College. We have a thriving Horticultural Society and its members are creating outstanding connections with industry experts."

Sally Cunningham has a long association with Garden Organic and is associated with the Sowing New Seeds project, a review of the wider benefits of growing exotic crop.

Her specialist interests include wildlife, organic gardening, unusual and exotic vegetables, herbs, utilitarian plants, beneficial insects and ecology. She is the author of Asian Vegetables and Ecological Gardening, in addition to being a qualified horticultural teacher.

The one-hour talk is open to all Writtle University College staff and students and will end with a Q&A session. Please visit Moodle for more information.
