Senior lecturer Nieky van Veggel recently travelled to Kiev to present in-person workshops on Learning, Teaching and Assessment.

He said: "I worked with a group of 30 representatives from the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences (Kiev), Sumy National Agrarian University (North-East Ukraine) and Mykolayiv National Agrarian University (South-Ukraine). My one-day workshop covered student-centered teaching and learning, and was part of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) funded project 'Digitale Zukunft gemeinsam gestalten - Deutsch-Ukrainische Hochschulkooperationen 2019-2022'."

Nieky followed this success with three virtual presentations on the same topic, hosted by Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences in Germany.

He said: "These were part of the Training Pact with Africa, on the 'Green Innovation Centres in the Agricultural and Food Industry' project funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ). The participants hail from a number of African countries."
