On November 24th, Maddi Burchell from MBD Dressage and The Dressage Coach delivered an insightful guest lecture to second year university students at Writtle University College.
The Veterinary Physiotherapy, Equine and Canine teams enjoyed Maddi's virtual talk on Business Skills, including practical advice and tips on setting up successful ventures online.
Maddi has been riding for over 30 years and has trained with some of the world's finest trainers, including her long standing coach Carl Hester. She studied under the guidance of Classical Master, Joaquin Vazquez Vela and other riders at the Royal School of Equestrian Art in Jerez, Spain.
Maddi also worked for Joaquin in Spain at his private yard, where she coached, rode, trained and competed a number of Joaquin's and his clients' horses up to Grand Prix level.
Equine and Veterinary Physiotherapy Lecturer, Chloe Mabbutt, said: "We were delighted to welcome Maddi as a guest speaker. Engaging with professionals within the industry helps students to develop skills that will be of use in their future careers."
