The Equine Behaviour Forum (EBF) has donated two trophies to Writtle University College (WUC). After making the decision to close its respected quarterly journal, the EBF allocated remaining funds to the creation of a celebratory cup and a horse's head trophy. They will be awarded to WUC Equine students in recognition of outstanding work. Recipients will be chosen by WUC's academic team.

The EBF's Judith Turner said: "We purchased two trophies to be presented to Writtle University equine students. One is the Equine Behaviour Trophy and one the Lucy Rees trophy to honour that lady who gave so many of us our first taste and interest in equine behaviour."

WUC's Senior Lecturer in Equine Behaviour and Nutrition, Rosa Verwijs, said: "We're incredibly grateful to the EBF, Judith and everyone on the committee for this generous donation. We can't wait to award these trophies at our graduation ceremony! The EBF and Lucy Rees really inspired our Equine Behavioural Science students to make a difference for all horses."
