Berenice Ducker, a member of the Further Education Art & Design department at Writtle University College, is volunteering some of her free time to support the NHS. Berenice is putting her sewing skills to good use by creating scrubs for Broomsfield Hospital in Chelmsford. Pre-cut material is delivered to Berenice and other volunteers, before being collected by the project organiser.

Berenice says: "I became involved thanks to my church, Danbury Mission, which has been helping in the community with various projects. I'm pleased to do whatever I can to help during such a difficult time."

This isn't the first time Berenice has supported a good cause. She's known by staff and students at Writtle University College for her support of charities, and last autumn raised nearly £200 in support of Macmillan Nurses by cutting her hair for the 'Brave the Shave' campaign.
