Writtle University College (WUC) was delighted to host Crawfords' Machinery Working Event on February 19th 2020. Over 20 state-of-the-art farm vehicles were showcased at WUC's Sturgeons Farm from 10am to 3pm. The family-run agricultural machinery business has been one of WUC's closest neighbours since 2018, when it relocated to a purpose-built depot in Writtle. Crawfords' new Agricultural Dealership has provided ongoing educational support for WUC's agriculture students.
The Working Event celebrated an exciting new development. Crawfords has been named a franchise holder for Manitou (Agriculture). Manitou produces highly respected equipment for use on rough terrain. The hands-on workshops gave members of the local agricultural industry the chance to trial products from Manitou's extensive portfolio in a farm-setting.
Marketing manager Hannah Kelsey said: "We had a range of machines on display from Telehandlers, Pivot Steers and Skid Steers to Masted Forklifts. We were delighted to give our customers an opportunity to jump in the cab and try out the machines for themselves. The various operating stations allowed machines to be used in live scenarios such as moving bales, potato boxes and more!"
