Writtle University College's (WUC's) first ever Summer Jobs Fair takes place on Friday 28th February. This exciting event offers WUC students the opportunity to meet employers and apply for valuable work experience.
Over 20 companies will be on hand to talk about internships, summer placements or potential careers. The organisations - which include New Holland Agriculture, Wicks Manor, Peregrine Livefoods, Wellcome Sanger Institute and Rochfords Nurseries - represent a wide range of sectors. WUC students can put their practical and theoretical knowledge into practice whilst gaining industry-specialist summer work.
The event will also welcome returning students. Husband-and-wife team, Jodie and Andrew Howie, met while studying at WUC before starting their multi-million milkshake business, Shaken Udder. On February 28th, their team will look for the next generation of talented Writtle students, while handing out free milkshake samples.
WUC's Head of Student Success, Donna Franklin, said: "The Summer Jobs Fair is an amazing opportunity for our students to think about their career pathways. Summer is a great time to gain valuable experience and enhance your CV. We're delighted to be offering our students the chance to engage directly with employers, and showcase their abilities to members of their chosen sectors."
