Writtle University College's (WUC) Careers Advice Service is proud to have completed a successful assessment review against the matrix Standard. This prestigious accolade is recognised in the sector as the sign of quality assurance.

The matrix Standard is for organisations that deliver information, advice and guidance (IAG). It helps to improve services by benchmarking against best practice and offers accreditation to those who meet the full standard.

The assessment analyses advice and support services, and the way in which they ultimately support individuals in their choice of career, learning, work and life goals. WUC's evaluation was carried out by Andrew Davey, registered matrix Standard practitioner, in December 2019. He examined WUC's processes and the results achieved in a series of interviews with staff and students.

WUC was delighted to meet the matrix Standard. As a result, the Univeristy College is entitled to display the quality mark to demonstrate that its careers advice service offers high quality IAG.

WUC careers adviser Mark Yates commented: "It's great to see Writtle University College recognised for the work it puts in to support students' career goals and their aspirations for the future. We work hard to deliver a wide range of services and aim to offer continued improvements."
