Undergraduate sports students demonstrated some of the work they are involved in. Harry Moore, who is a sports therapist, spoke about his recent work with Sports Lecturer Mark Williams with the GB England basketball camp and the sports massage business he has set up in the University College’s sports lab.
Elliot Jukes, George O'Halloran and Adam Bantock used the NordBord to test hamstring strength and asymmetry, which they have used with Colchester United players.
Sports Lecturer David Dixon - who is also a performance nutritionist for a premier league football club, gives nutrition advice to dancers of the English Ballet School and has appeared on Channel 4's 'How to Lose Weight Well' - demonstrated the Metalyzer, with student Louise Judd as the athlete, which measures oxygen consumption breath-by-breath.
Vicky said: "I was extremely impressed to meet the passionate Writtle University College students today who were very focussed on their course, as well as the opportunities it offers. The University College has excellent facilities and it was wonderful to see so many young people enjoying their studies."
