Writtle University College is holding a breakfast event so employers can find out more about recruiting Horticulture and Sports Turf Apprentices.
The free event will be held on Wednesday 9 August, 8.30am to 10.30am, in the Tropical Greenhouse at the University College in Writtle, near Chelmsford.
The event marks the launch of the new Horticulture Apprenticeship Standards for delivery from September 2017. The new Standards are in Horticulture and Landscape Operative Level 2; Golf Greenkeeping Level 2; and Sports Turf Operative Level 2.
Our Apprenticeship team is inviting employers who are interested in recruiting an Apprentice in these subjects, or who already have Apprentices, to the breakfast event.
The event will give them the opportunity to find out more about:
- The Apprenticeship funding reforms, including the employer incentive of £1,000 for employing a 16 to 18-year-old Apprentice
- The structure of the new Apprenticeship Standards
- How WUC can help them recruit an Apprentice
Employers will also have the chance to give feedback and input into how WUC delivers the new Apprenticeships.
