MA Landscape Architecture and Garden Design students have been on a a study tour to Budapest.
During the visit, from 8 to 12 March, students explored the contemporary urban landscapes through the complex historical, cultural and socio-economic factors and the River Danube that has shaped the city in the last 2,000 years.
They had guided site visits and city tours with landscape architects as well as visiting the Szent Istvan University Arboretum, with the opportunity to see the MA Landscape Architecture students’ final year exhibition.
The students also experienced a concert at the Bela Bartok National Concert Hall, explored the city from the river by a cruise along the Danube to see how the water meets the city and its architecture, and topped the tour off with a visit to a spa.
Dr Saruhan Mosler, Course Manager for the MA Landscape Architecture and MA Garden Design, said: ""Overall it was a very successful study tour with extremely inspiring and enriching experiences for students and staff."
