The new Global Ecosystem Management degree at Writtle University College has received official accreditation from the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM).

The leading industry body undertook a thorough and vigorous inspection of the degree programme to examine areas such as teaching quality, modules taught and assessment methods and concluded that the scheme matched the sector needs.

Writtle University College (WUC) is one of only nine institutions in the UK to have their undergraduate provision accredited in this way.

Lecturer Alan Roscoe said: “We are obviously delighted to have this stamp of quality from CIEEM, not for ourselves but for our students. It assures them of an excellent academic experience and one which is aligned to the needs of our sector. Developing strong links with industry is key to our students’ success.”
