Our MA Garden Design graduate, Sinyae Hwang, presented her garden in the Korea Garden Show, Ilsan in May 2016. It was located within the 16th Goyang Korea Flower Show at Ilsan Lake Park in Goyang-si under the theme of 'The Alluring Encounter of Eastern and Western Flowers’. This years’ theme was the traditional Korean gardens and Sinyae's garden design was selected among ten other designers to be presented to the public. Sinyae used the concept: “The Weave of Life”. The garden is inspired by the Jogakbo which is a Korean traditional patchwork quilt. It is represented with various colours of flower modules with traditional colour themes and diverse heights of planting boxes with lively rhythms.
