MA Landscape Architecture and Garden Design students have recently returned from a study tour in Barcelona.

Students and staff explored the relationships between the historic city, contemporary parks, open spaces and waterfronts between 2 and 6 April.

Montjuic, the botanic park, Park Guell, Sagrada Familia, Parc del Clot, the Parc de la Diagonal Mar, and the waterfronts were some of the places students visited during the study tour.

Dr Saruhan Mosler, Course Manager for the MA Landscape Architecture/Garden Design, said: “A concert evening at the impressive concert hall Palau Musica Catalana, a World Heritage Site, was a delight for our eyes and ears after three days of walking in Barcelona. The study tour was a great success and the city inspired us for creating better and beautiful spaces for people.”
