Writtle College’s Lordships Stud, in conjunction with Bailey’s Horse Feeds, will be hosting an evening dedicated to the weaning and care of the young horse on Monday 14 November.
This event follows on from the success of a mare and foals evening held at the Stud in March this year. The evening will look at all things weanlings, from the weaning process to the health and correctness of the young horses. Academic equine experts from Writtle College, alongside experts from Bailey’s Horse Feeds will be on hand all evening to ensure that no question goes unanswered.
The programme for the evening will include talks on:
• The weaning process
• Nutrition and OCD
Practical sessions looking at the weanlings at the College Stud will also take place and will include:
• Weight and OCD
• Condition Scoring
