The Further Education Equine Team at Writtle College is currently looking for six students interested in training for a Level 1 Diploma in work-based Horse Care.
The Level 1 programme is suitable for those looking to work in the equine industry but that haven't yet secured employment and do not already have Level 2 qualifications.
The equine industry is one of the most diverse industries within the land-based sector with opportunities for working in livery yards, riding schools, racing yards and training yards.
Undertaking this opportunity with Writtle College will be a fantastic first step towards working with horses.
Students who apply and are accepted onto the Level 1 course will spend two days per week volunteering on the Main Yard at Writtle College.
Once the volunteering positions are filled at the College, the College will also be recruiting for Level 1 equine student volunteers at the Remus Memorial Horse Sanctuary in Buttsbury.
