Places still available for a September 2011 start on Further Education courses

Writtle College are hosting two Information Events next week directly focused on the limited number of Further Education training spaces still available for a September 2011 start. The events will take place on Wednesday 7 September 2- 7pm, and Saturday 10 September 10am - 3pm.

Training place availability include the following subject areas: Agriculture and Countryside, Animal Studies and Veterinary Nursing, Art and Design, Equine, Sport, Floristry and Horticulture – Gardening and Landscaping.

The Information Events have been specially arranged to give interested students the opportunity to meet with course leaders as well as tour the beautiful College campus. Tours of the College campus will include a visit of the new Titchmarsh Centre for Animal Care, as well as all other specialist facilities on campus.

Andy Sparks, Head of Further Education at Writtle College commented about the forthcoming events: “Information Events are the perfect opportunity for interested students to come along with their parents to find out all they need to know about courses, the application process, student life and what Writtle College is really about.”

Becky Studd, a student from last year’s Countryside course intake, said: “I had heard only good things about Writtle and was told it was the best College to gain agricultural and countryside related qualifications. For what I wanted to do, it seemed the best option. Upon looking round the College, my decision was confirmed by the friendliness of the staff and the obvious quality of learning available.”

Timings for the Information Event on Wednesday 7 September will be 2-7pm and then on Saturday 10 September the day will start at 10am and end at 3pm both events will take place in the main building L41. Parking and refreshments will be available throughout the day.
