The floristry department will be exhibiting at the forthcoming Hampton Court Palace flower show from Tuesday 5 to Sunday 10 July.
The theme for 2011 is 'The Swinging Sixties' which is set to evoke nostalgic memories of UK bands or solo artists and their songs from this era.
Elaine Thackray from the Floristry team said: “Our chosen interpretation for Writtle College exhibit will be from the song 'Puppet on a String'. The floristry department, staff and students, are working hard on the build-up preparations for this prestigious show.”
Writtle College is an established land-based College providing specialist training in areas such as floristry and horticulture. The College has a strong Further Education floristry division offering courses from Level 1 to Level 3. On the floristry undergraduate level, degrees are validated by the University of Essex.
