Writtle College has recently been announced as the Caravan Club’s 15th centre for training in the UK network. The aim of the training courses, scheduled to start in February at Writtle, is to boost the confidence and skills of people towing a trailer, horsebox or a caravan.
The new caravanning training courses are being offered in conjunction with Writtle College’s Short Course portfolio. Writtle’s Short Courses are ideal for learning a specialist craft to gain accreditation for technical skills or even as a hobby. All Short Courses are tutored by professional instructors approved by the College.
The Caravan training course instructors are also approved by the Caravan Club and all bookings and administration are handled by the Caravan Club staff.
With around 2,500 people enjoying the Caravan Club's ‘Practical Caravanning’, and ‘Caravan and Motor Caravan Manoeuvring’ courses each year, the Writtle College site is a welcome addition to the UK portfolio.
With the popularity of caravanning at an all-time high, the courses benefit first-timers as well as seasoned caravanners who just want to brush up on their skills.
"We're delighted to include Writtle College and its professional staff in our offering to members and others," commented Len Short, Caravan Club Head of Events. "We look forward to welcoming even more caravanners to our centres across the country in 2010."
Other short course training areas offered at Writtle College are; Agriculture, Engineering and Machinery, AMTRA (Animal Medicines Training & Regulatory Authority), Animal Care, Arboriculture, First Aid and Health & Safety, Flower Arranging, Floristry and Photography, Horticulture & Landscaping.
