Writtle University College staff member Steve Emery has recently helped to raise over £1,000 in support of the NSPCC.
Steve worked alongside organiser Gill Metcalfe, to organise a charity event that attracted over 65 people. The lunch that took place in Southend, Essex and featured a wide range of delicious food and raffle prizes.
Steve said: "It was a fantastic day and I am delighted that we raised money for NSPCC. This is a vitally important charity and I am glad to have raised funds for them over the last 3 years, with a number of events around Essex."
The NSPCC is one of the UK's leading children's charities. It has been looking out for children for over 130 years. It's a charity recognised worldwide and has an important role to play within today's society.
The NSPCC has been in discussion wuth the University College's Wellbeing team, with the aim of supporting their fantastic work.
