Congratulations to our final year university students. We can't wait to celebrate your success!

We are delighted for 2022 to be able to host our Graduation Ceremony in a wonderful marquee here on campus, with the awards being presented by our New Chancellor, Jimmy Doherty.

The event will take place on Friday 9th September at our Main Campus.

Here's a short Q&A to answer some frequently asked questions:

When is the deadline for booking my place at Graduation?

Friday 19th August.

When will I receive my tickets? And find out how many I have?

Etickets will be sent out on the week commencing Monday 22nd August, stating how many tickets you have received

If you still need to make payment please call the finance office on 01245 424207.

I've ordered tickets but have been unsuccessful in completing my award, what should I do?

If your award is not confirmed by the 30th July 2022 as expected and you have bought guest reception tickets, please email Graduation Office including your student number and you will get a full refund.

Where do I collect my gown?

Gowns can be collected on the day from L53 in the main building. You will need your confirmation email/order number from Ede & Ravenscroft.

Gowns must be returned by 5pm on the day.

I'm a prize winner, but I'm not graduating. What do I need - robes/tickets etc.?

You are required to wear robes. If you are bringing guests then they will need guest tickets for the ceremony. You will be sent information about guest tickets when you are informed about your prize. If you need further information, please contact the Graduation Office.

Are children permitted at the ceremony?

Graduation ceremonies are lengthy formal occasions. Experience has shown that children do get bored and restless. If you do decide to bring a young child as your guest and they require a seat then they will need a guest ticket of their own and must be accompanied by an adult.

Children under 3 years of age who can sit on another guest's lap will not require a ticket.

Pushchairs are not permitted due to narrow walkways that need to be kept clear for students and the platform party.

What happens on the day?

Please arrive an hour and a half before your ceremony time. Park in the student car park, and make your way to reception where you will be greeted by members of the Graduation Team.

You will then collect your gown and have the opportunity to have professional photographs taken.

Make your way to the Graduation Marquee 45 minutes prior to your ceremony time so guests can be seated and graduates checked in.

The ceremony will last just over an hour - you will receive your certificate in the post to your home address.

What happens after the ceremony?

Students will have some time after the ceremony to take photographs and meet with staff and friends.

You will be able to look at the photographs and order any memorabilia.

Canapes & Fizz will then be served in the Garden Room, or you can visit the food vendors on site to purchase food & drink.
