Ornamental plants grown at Writtle University College (WUC) are going back to Provender Nurseries Ltd. to find their future home!
Under Lecturer Mick Lavelle's supervision and in liaison with Provender Nurseries, WUC students learnt skills in commercial scale ornamental plant production. More importantly, they had a chance to become familiar with some of the most current ornamental varieties.
Dr. Kami (Kambiz) Baghalian, WUC's Lecturer in Crop Production said: "Writtle University College is committed to training a new generation of highly skilled graduates who are ready to join the different sectors of this industry from ornamental to food. Industries such as Provender, who have a research-oriented attitude to business, are playing a crucial role in this regard".
