Writtle University College (WUC) will welcome Ball Out 3x3 to its outstanding basketball facilities on Sunday 10th July.
Ball Out is part of a global network of open tournaments, from grassroots to the FIBA 3x3 World Tour. It's at the forefront of the development of 3x3 basketball, with sights on the Commonwealth Games in 2022 and the Olympic Games.
The tournament encourages basketball players from all across the nation to come out and compete in any of the featured qualifying events for a shot at making the finals at Finsbury Park Basketball Courts.
Ball Out chief Julius Joseph said: "We are looking forward to an exciting summer of 3x3 basketball with a huge Ball Out 3x3 qualifying event at Writtle University College. We will be working closely with the college to deliver an exciting event that will be the biggest to date on their amazing bespoke 3x3 courts. There will be music, 3x3 basketball and good vibes all at one of the best facilities in the country, you don't want to miss it."
Writtle University College launched the UK's first permanent 3x3 facilities in summer 2021. Located on WUC's Fox Burrows Lane playing fields, the area includes adjustable hoops and a colourful show court, with a mural painted by artist Molly Hawkins.
