Peter Hobson, Writtle University College's Professor in Biodiversity Conservation & Sustainability, will be presenting a Master Class to international design students at Amsterdam University.
The event takes place on Friday 1st April as part of the 'Floriade Challenge'.
The municipality of Almere in Southern Flevoland in the Netherlands is aiming to make its residential areas greener and connect parks and forests.
Students and young professionals are taking part in the Green Escape Challenge. They are producing designs to transform areas in Almere Stad into green, urban areas.
Peter is presenting one in a series of online masterclasses, which will help the teams work towards a winning design. The lectures are also open to the public.
Peter Hobson said: "I am delighted to have been invited to contribute a Master Class. We are facing a climate crisis and the promotion of greater connection between parks and forests and the sustainable re-greening of urban areas is of vital importance. I look forward to seeing the proposals generated by the competition."
