Further Education students at Writtle University College (WUC) have been decorating their campus and local community for the holiday season.
Grenville Nurseries in Writtle kindly donated two Christmas trees to WUC. Level 3 and 4 floristry students covered the trees with hand-made ornaments before they were moved by agriculture students to All Saints Church for a local Christmas Tree Festival.
The trees have now been relocated and are on display in WUC's main building.
Floristry curriculum team leader, Jan Metcalfe, said: "We are very grateful to Grenville Nurseries for providing our students with trees to decorate and we were delighted to be able to support our local community by displaying them at All Saints Church. All students worked incredibly hard on this project. The festive decorations were designed using their own techniques, with L4 floristry students creating handmade fairies using different floristry sundries and natural materials."
