Students and horses at Writtle University College were pleased to welcome Birkett Long's assistant marketing manager to campus on May 18th. The local solicitors firm is celebrating 200 years of serving the people of Essex, with a series of 'random acts of kindness'.
Birkett Long's Sarah Humphryes delivered more than a hundred packages of sweets and horse treats to delighted equine students. Staff offered her a personalised tour of the University College's equestrian facilities, including access to the UK's only on-campus working stud and a trip to view new foals.
Birkett Long has a long-standing relationship with Writtle University College's equine department and has kindly sponsored items for the prestigious Equine Academy for three consecutive years.
The academy squad wears branded kit in the University College's colours with logos representing both Birkett Long and Writtle. The horses have access to numnahs and quarter sheets when training and competing.
Lecturer in Equine Performance, Jane Hart, said: "Through their continued sponsorship support to the Writtle University College Equine Academy, Birkett Long have not only promoted professionalism and personal development on a long term basis, but this week, have also made the end of the semester a less stressful time through a random act of kindness by bringing locally sourced sweets and treats to the riders and horses."
