Writtle University College is pleased to be working with Great Baddow High School's Physical Education department.
Lecturer in Sports Science, Mark Williams, and third year BSc (Hons) Sport & Exercise student, Zachary Churn, are providing strength and conditioning support to the school's netball academy. The sessions are part of the ongoing relationship between the school and the University College. The training aims to offer guidance to pupils as they work to improve their game and their understanding of sports science.
Mark Williams said: "We're delighted to be working with Great Baddow High School. Due to lockdown, these sessions are currently delivered remotely. However, going forward we hope to provide face-to-face support with testing and programming input."
The University College aims to helps students to gain practical experience as part of their degree programmes. Zachary's contributions will form part of his final year coursework while providing real-world applied learning experience.
