On November 5th, Writtle University College's Senior Lecturer Dr Roberta Ferro de Godoy, joined the expert panel for the UK Equine Student Network's webinar. The virtual 'tips for equine research' session, offered advice and support for students around the UK.
She worked with Dr Jane Williams, Lorna Cameron and Dr David Marlin to share a wealth of experience in guiding students through the process of conducting research. The team of specialists offered essential advice on identifying research topics, working with statistics and selecting techniques. Students taking part in the live webinar had the opportunity to ask questions and share ideas.
Dr Roberta Ferro de Godoy said: "I was delighted to work with fellow academics to support equine students from around the UK. Our aim was to offer a supportive environment that combined the knowledge and expertise of many leading universities. It was wondering to see the success of the event and to hear the students' enthusiasm for new innovations and ground-breaking research."
Dr Roberta Ferro de Godoy was previously a co-creator of the inaugural UK Online Equine Student Conference, which took place in July 2020. Following the conference, contributors created the UK Equine Student Network and to offer support for equine research within UK.
