The British Florist Association (BFA) has revealed the finalists for the 2019 Industry Awards. Writtle University College (WUC) is delighted to appear in two categories. WUC is one of six educational institutions shortlisted for ‘Florist Training Provider of the Year’ and staff member Elaine Thackray is in the running for ‘Floristry Tutor of the Year’.

Elaine Thackray said: “We’re overjoyed to be part of the BFA’s shortlist and would like to thank everyone who supported Writtle during the voting period. We’re lucky to have dedicated students who share our passion for floristry. It’s an honour to help them to develop the skills and experience they need to succeed within our rewarding sector.”

The BFA will announce the winner of each category at the Gala Dinner and Industry Awards. This annual event takes place on October 26th and will celebrate the successes of the British floristry sector.
