Social media star, Lauren Allport, used the skills she learnt at Writtle University College to launch a global career. The Equine Sports Therapy graduate lives in the United Arab Emirates where she cares for world-class jumping teams and horses belonging to the Dubai, Saudi Arabian and Kuwaiti royal families.

When she’s not rubbing shoulders with Princes, Lauren makes good use of the practical knowledge she learnt from WUC’s word-class instructors. As the leading Instagram influencer @EddieGun91, she shares stunning equine snapshots with over 138 thousand followers.

She’s also a YouTube sensation. Lauren’s personable mixture of equine tips and good therapy practices has grabbed 200 thousand subscribers across two channels.

Set for Success

WUC is proud to have given Lauren everything she needed to start a successful career. She says: “the knowledge and skills I acquired at Writtle College have allowed me to get where I am today”.

The facilities, world-class teaching methods and support helped Lauren to take her first steps into her chosen sector. She explains: “these skills allow me to work with professional confidence within the equine industry”.

After leaving Writtle, Lauren knew she was ready for the world of work. She applied her knowledge at a small competition yard in Colchester while building her reputation on social media.

The professionalism she showed on her YouTube channels quickly caught the eye of a yard owner in Dubai. She says: “before I knew it I was the equine therapist for the entire Qatar team!”
