Writtle University College is opening the doors of its Lordships Stud facilities to the public with a free to attend Open Day on Sunday 18 September.
The fun-filled day, from 11am to 3pm, will feature demonstrations and activities as well as the chance to meet the mares, foals, stallions and youngstock at the Stud.
Caroline Farr, Equine Resource Manager for Writtle University College, said: “The Stud Open Day is being organised by our equine degree students in conjunction with staff. It’s always a really fun event and we enjoy showing the community our work, facilities, horses and foals.”
The day will include activities, demonstrations with stallions and youngstock in the outdoor school, as well as stalls and children’s activities. You can also find out more about the exciting equine courses on offer at the University College.
The event is free but raises money for The National Foaling Bank.
