The sport horses and ponies of the future were identified at an evaluation event at Writtle College.

The British Equestrian Federation’s (BEF) Futurity Evaluation for young horses and ponies was held at the College on 3 August.

More than 50 horses were presented for evaluation at the Cow Watering Campus at Writtle College this year.

Lordships Stud staff and students presented two horses:

• A yearling filly by Odermus R called Lordships Oddball, which earned a first premium.

• A two-year-old gelding by Rubicelle called Lordships Revelation, which also earned a first premium.

Stud staff and students also assisted during the presentation of an Almaz mare and foal Temple Tamability, currently on livery at the Stud. Previous Stud residents were in attendance from Jamakin Sport Horses, which also enjoyed good results.

The highest score of the day (9.05) was awarded to Flourouche JT (Woodlander Freddie M x Firebreak). The elite foal is owned by Tara Lee.

• Both of the Lordships Stud horses are for sale. Please contact caroline.farr@writtle.co.uk for details.
